Onboarding Café

Onboarding Café is a package program designed to support new employees or returning employees with specific career needs.
The program combines group-style coaching sessions and follow up 1on1 mentoring sessions which are provided throughout 3-6months of onboarding or re-onboarding period. The program aims to improve employee engagement and strengthen connections among employees.

D E T A I L S

■ Features

  • Utilizes game-style career development tools such as “Career Trump®” that generate dialogues in a rapid fashion.
  • Encourages participants to look back at what they can/want/must do and think about tangible action plans to make contribution to the organization with their potential.
  • Facilitates dialogues with employees with similar career needs will help them better understand themselves, others and work environment and come up with ideas of optimizing their talents to contribute to their organization
  • Lasts less than 2 hours. It can also be organized during a lunch break.

 

■ Key contents

The program includes monthly group-style career coaching sessions and individual online mentoring sessions for new employees and employees after returning to work from maternity leave. At the end of the program, we will provide tips and suggestions for organizational improvement obtained through group sessions and individual mentoring.

  • Group-style career coaching:
    The group coaching utilizes game-style tools such as Career Trump® to discover what they can/want/must do in order to thrive with their careers. Group style sessions are fun ways to explore careers while receiving feedback from others.
  • Individual online mentoring:
    Online mentoring sessions provide individuals an opportunity to reflect back on the group sessions and also to share specific career needs that are difficult to address in the group format. Professional career consultants will listen and provide individualized support for individual issues.
  • Reporting:
    After the program, we will share organizational issues or employees’ career needs discovered in group sessions and individual mentoring sessions.

 

■ Key session topics
Group coaching sessions are designed to increase the new employees’ sense of belonging to the organizations by discovering intersections of their ability (can), value (will) and roles required by the organization (must). At the end of the program, the participants will share the output with their managers and team in dialogue settings to deepen mutual understanding.

<3-months program- sample>

Session 1: Discovering self
Through games and life chart exercises, the participants will look back at their own career and identify the key values in their work. . The participants will explore the intersection of corporate value and their own career/value.

Session 2: Skills and abilities
Organize abilities from an objective viewpoint and find ways to build a better relationship with the environment and people. Based on what they can do, the participants will create your own future map and draw goals for the next step

Session 3:Action plan
Receive feedback and new perspectives from others through dialogues and set goals for your desired way of life and work a year from now.

*At the end of the program, the participants will share the output with their managers and team in dialogue settings to deepen mutual understanding.

Career Coaching Café

Career Coaching Café is a career coaching session in a group format for employees with a broad range of career-related needs. The Café can be a place of new employee onboarding or a session for employees who need to balance work and family or their own health needs. The Cafe is designed no longer than 2 hours. It aims to improve employee engagement and strengthen connections among employees.

* Available at a trial price. Full-scale provision will begin in January 2022.

  • Self-awareness:Find words that describe your personality and find tips for leveraging your strengths
  • Switch:Learn how to switch words to move forward
  • Future Map:Based on what you can do, create your own future map and draw goals and dreams
  • Skills:Organize abilities from an objective viewpoint and find ways to build a better relationship with the environment and people
  • Time axis:Organize what you should keep or throw away by becoming more aware of your feelings/emotions on the time axis of past/present/future
  • Bird’s-eye view:Take a bird’s-eye view of your life roles and draw your desired lifestyle based on new awareness
    * Can be partially offered online

Fees and Contracts

We first interview clients and understand their present challenges;
goals they hope to achieve; and the current profile of the team to suggest the optimal way to assist.

Flow of Contract
(1) Intake

We will conduct an initial interview with the clients to learn about their current situation, such as your company’s onboarding issues, target people (number of people, attributes, issues, etc.), implementation period / location, expected outcome, etc.

(2) Proposal

We will propose detailed contents, schedule, and expenses based on the interview.

(3) Contracting

We will make a contract and place an order based on mutual agreement.
(4) First session

 

 

Price

  • New employees only (4 people) 200,000 yen or up / month
    * The above price includes: 1 group session / month, individual mentoring x 1 hour / month, final sharing session and simple reporting.

The contract period is from 3 months. Depending on the number of participants, we will charge additional fee.

Benefits
We will provide an Excel template for “onboarding plan formulation sheet” to the contracted organization.
